I recently heard an interview with the famous biologist E.O. Wilson on NPR’s Science Friday. Dr. Wilson has come out with another book with a decidedly unique approach to forwarding the movement to save biodiversity. In an open letter, he appeals to a Baptist preacher calling on fundamentalist Christians’ devotion to “God’s Work”, to put differences of mechanism aside and join forces with scientists to save biodiversity. A great read. Here’s to a successful partnership.
October 16, 2006 update: as a follow-up to this book, an interesting article about a Michigan priest and another article about a group called Interfaith Power and Light, both describing religious groups’ involvement with raising awareness about global warming.
